The Da’awah project is an initiative by Muslim women to spread Islamic outreach in rural communities in Northern Nigeria. The main aim of our organization is to facilitate the provision of quality on-site Islamic education in our rural communities.
The vision of The Da’awah Project is to provide local communities with the necessary resources and support to learn Islam properly within their own communities. This Project is a response to the challenges faced by many Islamic organizations in Nigeria – mainly a lack of funds and a coordinated best practice approach.
We are particularly dedicated to ensuring the long-term sustainability of our undertaken projects, which is usually the main challenge faced by many organizations.
The Almajiranci system in Northern Nigeria has produced a lot of good, but we can all agree that reform is necessary. The large number of children leaving their home communities to places often hundreds of kilometers away is one of the great challenges of this system. We believe that providing quality Islamic education for these children in their own locality reduces the need to leave their homes and families.
Our Aim is to propagate the message of Islam in Nigeria. We wish to establish Mosques and Islamic Centres, assist the less privilege, establish orphanage Centres, cater for the vulnerable in society, encourage peaceful co-existence, and preach the message of Islam.
We hope to reach the most remote areas of Nigeria with the message of Islam as well as humanitarian support and encouragement.
We emphasize creating Institutions over one-off events except those events are to promote such Institutions. We work to create a sustainable structure for such Institutions from funding to manpower. Our funding is by a network of donors around the world, our manpower is retained by training, tallying ideology, and welfare packages, especially for Imams.
Our main area of target are the most remote and often ignored areas of Northern Nigeria.
The majority of the population in the rural communities in Nigeria are still in the darkness of ignorance, moving around with dying hearts from not knowing who their Creator is and how to worship Him. It is our collective responsibility and we must take it seriously if we want to change our society for the better. We are all aware of the Ayah that says, "Allah will not change a situation until we change what is in us”. To this end, Daawah Initiative group was established to contribute in addressing the above issues, members of the group have resolved to invest their time, effort and money in this noble cause of Da'awah in the rural communities.

Dawah for Jannah Initiative is a duly registered not-for-profit Foundation known legally as an Incorporated Trustee with the Corporate Affairs Commission of Nigeria. Its Board of Directors include Professor Tukur Zainab, Hummad Ainau Mohammed Falalu, as well as Jubril Binta Tijani.
We operate international best practices in keeping records of donations as well as expenses in the execution of projects as well as administrative cost. These records are available to donors on request and are presented to the general public annually. They are also filed with the necessary authorities.
We recognize the need for careful monitoring of capital projects. This covers ensuring that initial costs are not bloated, clarifying expectations in relation to cost, checking the process for timeliness and quality and ensuring final products are to specification. It also covers maintenance policies.
